Ohio.gov: Explorys Awarded 10 year $17.6 million tax credit to create jobs in the region

For immediate release

COLUMBUS, Ohio — 2/22/2010 — Explorys, Inc. has been awarded a 75 percent job creation tax credit for a 10-year term as a result of the company’s project in the City of Cleveland (Cuyahoga County). The value of the tax credit is estimated at $17.6 million over the term, and the company would be required to maintain operations at the project site for 13 years. Explorys was formed in 2009 in partnership with the Cleveland Clinic to develop an independent nationwide network aggregating research statistics and patient data through real-time comparative analytics. The system bridges the gap between researchers, life sciences, and those delivering care. This $11 million project is expected to create 330 positions.
